Working Experience
- Samantha Lim has extensive experience within British American Tobacco Australia, where she has built her career in senior finance leadership roles. In the course of her work with BAT Australia, she has been responsible for overseeing key finance functions, including financial planning and analysis, financial management and reporting, and supporting the business in delivering its strategic and commercial objectives.
- Through her roles at BAT Australia, Samantha Lim has developed strong expertise in financial governance, internal controls, and performance management within a highly regulated operating environment. She has worked closely with senior management to support decision‑making and ensure sound financial stewardship in line with BAT Group and local market requirements.
- Prior to joining BAT, Samantha Lim gained professional experience with several multinational organisations, including IBM and KPMG. Across these organisations, she held finance, technical, and management roles, developing a strong foundation in financial controls, commercial decision‑making, and cross‑functional collaboration within complex global businesses.
- She brings to the Board a breadth of experience spanning FMCG, professional services, and multinational corporate environments, underpinned by a strong grounding in financial discipline and governance.
