How to identify an illegal cigarette pack?
An illegal cigarette pack can be identified as having at least one of the following features
Absence of 12 Pictorial Health Warnings (PHW) as mandated by the Ministry of Health.
Packs without the Malaysian tax stamp.
Blue Tax Stamp (Domestic Market)
Pink Tax Stamp (Duty Free Market)
No, or wrong description of registered importer or manufacturer. All manufacturers must be registered with the Royal Malaysian Customs.
Unregistered brands. All brands sold in Malaysia must be registered with the Royal Malaysian Customs.
