British American Tobacco (Malaysia) Announces Revision On Its Cigarette Prices

Petaling  Jaya, 17 April 2015 – British American Tobacco Malaysia (BAT Malaysia) has announced that the prices of all its cigarette brands will be revised to their last pricing before 1 April 2015, effective today, 17 April 2015.

“Our earlier price increase of RM0.50 for all our cigarette brand was in line with the GST implementation. However to remain competitive given the market situation as we see it today, our decision is to further revise our prices by reverting to our prices before 1 April 2015," said Stefano Clini, Managing Director, BAT Malaysia.

“Despite the challenges, we will continue to produce high quality products for our discerning consumers. We sincerely apologise to our business partners and consumers for any inconvenience caused to date and any potential technical delay in reflecting our revised prices in retail over the next few days given system changes needed by retailers. We would also like to thank you for your continued support,” Clini added.

The revised cigarette prices, effective today, Friday, 17 April 2015, are as follows:

DUNHILL range : RM 13.50

KENT range : RM 13.50

BENSON & HEDGES : RM 13.50

PETER STUYVESANT range : RM 12.00

PALL MALL range : RM 12.00

LUCKY STRIKE PLAIN : RM14.00
